By the time most people look at hypnotherapy for weight loss, they have tried at least two methods to lose weight already. In fact most people that come to their first appointment are very knowledgeable about healthy eating and exercise, and we all know that the equation of less calories in, or more activity or a combination of both will result in weight loss.

 

So if its that easy, why can losing weight be such a difficult task?

 

Habit, emotions, values and beliefs can all play a part in this:

 

  • A habit of having a biscuit or two with every cuppa can be a difficult one to break, or comfort eating when you are feeling low or stressed.

  • Eating everything on your plate even if it feels uncomfortable, is a common problem, but one that can be solved.

 

As human beings we are very much driven by our emotions and with weight loss, these emotions often overpower our logical approach.

 

How can Hypnotherapy Help?

 

Hypnotherapy can help to break habits, such as snacking and also reduce stress levels, by giving you a positive alternative way of coping with stress. It also helps with motivation, so if you have difficulty motivating yourself to get active, this can give you the boost you need.

 

The Weight Loss Programme consists of five sessions, which last approximately one hour each. During the first session, an overall goal is set and specific objectives. These are all chosen by you and the following sessions are then tailored to meet these objectives.

 

However you choose to lose weight, it has to fit easily into your lifestyle, there is no need to make life hard, a few simple changes and a gradual weight loss is the most effective long term (and more enjoyable too!).
